The Islamic Forum is pleased to announce that registration for its annual Family Islamic Retreat, taking place between 31 July – 2 August 2015 Insha Allah at the Ezulwini Berg Resort, Drakensberg is now open. The family convention/retreat aims to provide an opportunity for families and youth to spend a weekend together in an enriching, beneficial and enjoyable environment at the foothills of the Drakensberg mountains . The guest speakers for 2015 are Shaykh Faraz Rabbani (Canada) and Shaykh Yahya Rhodus (USA), Ustadh Amjad Tarsin (Canada) and Sidi Nader Khan (Canada).
The topic for the retreat/convention is Spread Light: Calling to Allah in a divided world
Retreat registration fees (includes entry into the formal programme as well as lunch and dinner):
Adults (13 yrs and over): R550
Children (6 – 12 yrs): R350
Children under 6 yrs are free
Registration fees must be paid directly to the Islamic Forum. Accommodation must be booked & paid directly with the Ezulwini Berg Resort.

More about the guest speakers:
Shaykh Faraz Rabbani is the founder and Educational Director of SeekersHub Global, and an instructor, scholar and researcher of the Islamic Sciences. After completing his Bachelors in Economics and Commerce at the University of Toronto he went on to study the Islamic sciences in Damascus and Amman. He lives and works in Toronto, Canada.
Shaykh Yahya Rhodus was born and raised in America’s midwest. He reverted to Islam at the age of 19 and has studied with various Islamic scholars in the USA, Yemen, Damascus and Mauritania. He is an instructor at Seekers Hub Global.
Ustadh Amjad Tarsin was born and raised in Michigan, USA. He obtained his Bachelors of Arts at the University of Michigan in English Literature and Islamic Studies. In 2012 he was selected as University of Toronto’s first full-time Muslim Chaplain.
Sidi Nader Khan is a Canadian Muslim singer/songwriter, and social activist.
